This is obviously a great way to get into great shape and learn more about your body. It's a great exercise program and very easy to follow. I think the majority of this video I saw was taken outside.
The workouts on that video look great! I am still working on my mobility but I need to add more stretching since I got cross-trained on my shoulder muscles. I still need to work on flexibility in my lower back, hips, and ankles. As a personal trainer, I work on strength, balance and mobility, postural alignment, core stabilization, and movement patterns. I also work on athletic issues such as patellar malalignment, ACL tear, arthritis, shoulder problems (especially impingement), disc issues, and much more.
I would really like to be able to trainer at my local gym and work with the health club (Champion Fitness). I have tried to do the squat in the jacuzzi and it didn't work with my low back pains. What is the best way to go about working out at a health club? What areas of the body would you shoot for in the foundation training program to work on?
I read a lot of your blog and I appreciate your advice on stretching and how to move properly into the squat. That being said, always trying to progress. As a track athlete I train a lot of pull ups, in a band and rings. In the squat I tend to drop to my knees. Would be great if you could give some advice on that as well since I kinda have to do that to have a functional squat form.
I am interested in foundation training. I am an avid weightlifter who has injured my back and is currently unable to do bench press. Can you help me with some exercises that would be good to work on? Also, are there any good books on this subject?
