Now, I'd like to add that I LOVE GOG. I was not one that got caught up in the hype for Steam (much to my friends and family's dismay) but then I found GOG and the service is second to none. I like the focus on games that just get overlooked by Steam, I like the care that goes into customer support, I like how they will actually go out of their way to get games that people actually want to play and I like how the service, while well managed, is just a service that works for me. I want it to work for others. I have donated money to the service, I have given them a list of games I want, I have given them my personal email and phone number to contact me if they need to. And I have a bunch of games there. I like that.
Now, as for the topic at hand, I am all for the Epic Games Store. I like that they are open to all games and of course I wish Steam would expand into as many genres and products as possible. I just see the store as a competitor to Steam, not a competitor to GOG. I don't see one making much of an impact over the other, but they will compete, and if Epic makes a lot of money or Steam loses a lot of money then I think the decision will be made for the customer.
A lot of people were surprised that we released a DRM-free game, and they wanted it to be a free for all. It was, we actually had a few games in development that were going to be available in a DRM-free store, but we weren't ready to announce them. We were ready to announce them when we were ready to release them in the DRM-free store. And we did announce the game, but we didn't announce the release date because we wanted to wait until we had the servers ready. But we never had a problem with piracy, and we never had a problem with the quality of the copies. I don't think we have fewer problems now than we did the first day, and the game has been available for a month now and we're happy with it.
Our community has been amazing. People have been sending us patches, and we've had a lot of amazing discussions on the forum. It's become clear that there are two separate groups of people. The first group believes that DRM is the best solution to problems of piracy and unauthorized sharing of digital content. This is not the group that we're interested in. The other group believes that DRM is the worst solution possible for anything. This is the group that we want to talk to.
The stamp is a fancy word for a marking, and it's commonly found on silver jewelry. The stamp in the picture is stamped on the inside of a ring, where the marking specifies the quality of silver used to make the ring. Most jewelry is stamped with a number, letter, or both. Here are the most common markings. 827ec27edc
