Tip Top is a mod that aims to modify the default tooltip so that it doesn't add as much clutter to the UI. It's made up of two parts - the tooltip itself, and the settings window. Both are included in the mod package, and it's up to you to choose which one you use. With that said, I would recommend running the addon without the settings to ensure that all changes go as intended. For those that don't know how the default tooltip works, it's a very simple system. It works by hooking into the UI event callbacks and replacing the default text with the one you specify in TipTop's config window. A couple of things to note about the default tooltip:Unlike the gear and Bank tooltips, the default tooltip does not get removed when you target a unit. It's intended for things like portals, which should remain on screen as long as there's anything to show in the tooltip, even if you're not targetting it. As such, the tooltip does not show up when out of range of the targeted unit.It also does not work when the mouse cursor is outside of the game window. This is due to a WoW API bug, and not a feature of the default tooltip. As such, it is not actually possible to change the position of the tooltip, at least not by using the settings window and default tooltip text. The addon also does not make any changes to the tooltip if the user has the addon disabled. This is due to the fact that the addon is just a replacement for the default tooltip text, and not the actual tooltip itself.Tip Top does have an option to show optional class-colored borders if they are available in the UI config. It also has an option to show optional difficulty-colored borders if they are available in the UI config. These can both be turned off in the config, or on by default in the config. How do I use this addon?Configure the addon's settings to your liking, using the options panel as described above. If the addon is off by default, you will need to enable it by clicking the TipTop button in the Interface Options panel. If you wish to change the background color, simply go to Interface Options -> Interface Options -> Control Panel -> Button Background Color (for the default UI). 827ec27edc
